You need to think of the “full picture” of your solution, i.e. if your system aims to help people buy a used bike your sketches should contain all steps of your users´ journey from “wanting” to “having” (for example: from the start page to the payment confirmation). \u003cstrong\u003eAs \u003cem\u003ean individual,\u003c/em\u003e each member of your group should generate one proposed preliminary design\u003c/strong\u003e for your user interface. These do not need to be fully fleshed out, but should reflect the insights gained from writing the scenarios. These sketches will have to be included in the annex of the deliverable together with a brief explanation. Take time to experiment on a variety of different interface designs, sketching them by hand. You should play with many more than the required designs, but we only require you to submit a subset of them in your report. It is strongly encouraged to prepare sketches by hand but you can also prepare them using powerpoint or other design applications.\u003c/li\u003e\r\n\u003cli\u003eAs a group, synthesize your individual design ideas to generate \u003cstrong\u003etwo different proposed designs\u003c/strong\u003e for your user interface. These designs should synthesize the best parts of the individual designs. For each of the proposed designs you need to prepare a \u003cstrong\u003enavigation map\u003c/strong\u003e (showing how users move through the site or application). Each page in the site, or screen in the application, should be represented in the map with a box and every page that can be accessed from that page should be linked to it (similar to figure 8.7 in the book). Also, for each of the two proposed designs you will have to prepare \u003cstrong\u003ewireframes\u003c/strong\u003e (defining screen layout). \u003c/li\u003e\r\n\u003cli\u003eDescribe how the proposed solution relates to the understanding developed. You have to explain how your \u003cstrong\u003edesign choices were driven by the understanding\u003c/strong\u003e you have developed. Here are some examples: “we found in interviews that users need to be able to search by price; to respond to this need, our design includes…” , “we found in interviews that users need to be able to complete tasks in minimum time; to respond to this need our design includes…”, “we found by questionnaires that users wanted to avoid giving their personal information; to respond to this preference our design includes…”, “we found by questionnaires that many of our users do not speak Norwegian; to respond to this characteristic our design includes…” . You should also note \u003cstrong\u003ethe additional understanding\u003c/strong\u003e of user needs and preferences you think is needed to decide among alternative design solutions. Here are some examples: “we would like to know what our user groups think about privacy and security because this will allow us to decide about authentication and authorization”, “we would like to know if the price history of similar items is important for sellers when they enter their price because this would allow us to decide if we need a price recommendation functionality”.\u003c/li\u003e\r\n\u003c/ul\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eDuring your presentation, you will use the best (out of two) navigation map and wireframe to provide a walkthrough of your designs using your scenarios. The walkthrough will include the steps that your personas take for completing tasks according to the scenario (the walkthrough should not be just a tour of features and capabilities). Lay out screens as you want them to appear, make choices about colors, fonts, alignment, icons, and empty space. Ensure that your prototype supports the interaction flows for the scenarios you have prepared for assignment 2. You do not need any features or additional interaction flows beyond those required for your scenarios. You can leave out most of your backend. Where system responses are needed, make them always the same or random. Use realistic data in your displays. If for example, you are building a hotel booking system and your prototype displays only two hotels in the search results that's pretty unrealistic, and won't adequately test your design choices.\u003c/li\u003e\r\n\u003cli\u003eDemonstrate an understanding of the states of \u003cstrong\u003ethe UI Stack\u003c/strong\u003e. Visualize minimum 3 different states from the UI Stack for selected examples. Two of your examples should be: one \"error page\", one \"loading page\".
